In 2014, I co-founded Arts for a Better Bay Area with Ebony McKinney as a policy and education platform for arts organizations and workers who were invested in quality of life, cultural equity and other city priorities and wanted to see the creative sector fully supported and engaged for shared prosperity.
In our first year ABBA engaged over 500 constituents and secured an historic $5 million annual increase in cultural equity grants from San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee. Today, ABBA is stewarded by a diverse group of arts and culture leaders.
